Increasing VMware Disk Size

to increase the disk size of a vmware image use the following command on your host machine
In the command prompt go to the "C:\Program Files\VMware\VMware Workstation"
and type in "vmware-vdiskmanager.exe -x [Size]GB H:\mydisk.vdmk"

[Size] is the size to which the disk has to be increased.

If snapshots are enabled, all the snapshots have to be removed to increase the disk size.
